List for when I stop work

Wednesday, 4 October 2017
As I mentioned in my previous blog, I have been thinking about all the things I want to get done once I finish working TOMORROW and Christmas time. As I sit here at my computer and look around our study/junk room my list begins:

Scrap-booking - albums for all the grandkids and our trips
Filing cabinet - clean out and sort
Uncle Robs war letters - type them up or scan them before the fade further
Cross stitch, finish the three that are partially done
Sand tray therapy symbols - pack up and store in shed
Knitted blanket - finish sewing peggy squares together
Wipe down door frames, light switches, power points

Then there is the kitchen and living area:
Wipe down walls, doors etc
Tidy pantry
Make tomato sauce
Make mango chutney
Defrost chest freezer
Sort of first aid kit
Sort through cupboards and dispose of unwanted items
Sew in ends of knitted dish clothes and continue knitting more

Lounge room
Wipe down walls
General tidy up
Sort DVD's

Bedroom/Ensuite
Wipe down walls/doors etc
Remove cobwebs spotted last night
Clean out ensuite cupboard
Sort wardrobe and drawers
Go through book pile and shelve those finished

Wash house
Wipe down walls etc
Make liquid laundry detergent from Rhonda's book.

Kids rooms
Attempt to get them to do complete clean outs - in my dreams.

Exercise daily
Bush/hill walking three times weekly - Mt Beerberrum/Mt Ngungun - longer walks on weekend with others.
Go to the beach

Gardens
Vegetable garden - get cleaned out and mulched for summer.
Front garden - tidy up and mulch
Back section area - pull out all weeds

Shed
Sort camping gear
General tidy up and transfer stored "stuff" to plastic bins with sealed lids.
Rubbish to dump/recycle.

Look after Annika and Tamara, one day a week

Trip to NZ, two weeks in November
Trip to Darwin - early December

Shouldn't take me too long :)

  1. Yay, one more sleep.
You're certainly not going to be bored. Love to see your cross stitch. You have so much to look forward to with holidays, crafts and looking after your grandkids.

    1. Hi Kylie, I certainly can't see myself getting bored. I've already thought of other stuff I haven't included on my list! Not having to go to work on Monday feels wonderful :) Cheers Lyndie
